24b release for category based pricing not applying for subscription

Is the 24b release for category based pricing/discount only applicable for order management or can this be utilized for subscription?

I was able to see the category based price for an item in order management. But the same item from the same price list was not displaying price on a subscription.
Strategy assignment was applied at the subscription header level. I was able to see the price of the item when I create charge at an item level but on creating the charge at category level on the same price list the charge is not getting fetched onto the subscription.
