How to clear account balances correctly to have COA stop showing up in GL balances

Summary:

We have many account combinations that have been fully cleared out by every COA combination but they still show up in the GL balances table as a zero value. Back in the PeopleSoft On Prem days once a COA string was fully cleared, when you rolled into a new year for opening balances, that account string would no longer appear as 0 but as NULL (or not show up).

How does that work in Cloud Fusion? Would be nice in the GL balances cubes to have those 0 balances being created as those combinations flow into DM extracts for the EPM applications (like ARCS) where I would not want to turn on NZP.
