Pegging Raw Material On-Hand to Planned order Demand Using Attribute-Based Planning

We have a requirement to peg the closest on-hand quantity of a raw material item to its planned order demand. These raw materials are lot-controlled, and we have a parent-child lot structure in place — where one parent lot can have multiple child lots.

Currently, the supply plan pegs based on child lots, and we’ve observed that multiple child lots from the same parent lot can be pegged to a single demand, which is acceptable for our scenario.

Our goal is to prioritize and peg supply in a way that fulfills demand using the closest possible match, ideally grouping child lots under the same parent lot when possible. We believe
