Approval Rule for Journals created after <GL Period End Date 10 days>

Summary:

Hi there,

We have a requirement to create an approval rule for journals based on journal batch creation date. All journals created after populated accounting period end date plus 10 days should be routed for approval.

For example:

• A journal created in date 02/04/2025 (DD/MM/YYYY) with accounting date 31/03/2025 (period March-2025 having period end date as of 31/03/2025) should be auto-approved.
• However, a journal created in date 12/04/2025 with accounting date 31/03/2025 (period March-2025) would require approval.

In BPM this could be done by applying formula “add_days” to JournalBatch.creationDate attribute. Nevertheless, the same does not work when defining approval rules by using newly available spreadsheet templates.
