Is there a way to change the GL date from last day of the month to first day of the month

When we run the MPA process even at the first day of the month still the journal entries show GL date as the last day of the month like 30th or 31st. Is there a way to change this so that we can get the GL entries date as first day of the month instead of last day of the month?
