FOR HELPER TOOL 25B, HOW TO CREATE VBS WORKSPACES FOR ALL MODULES?

edited Apr 10, 2025 11:32AM in HCM Redwood Personalization Helper Tool 14 comments

Summary:

To use the tool in Migrate and Report mode, the VBS Workspace parameter is essential. In VB Studio, you must first initialize the workspace with the required pages and then export it for use with the tool. When the VBS Workspace is provided as input, the tool utilizes the VB extension information within the workspace to display a list of modules within those extensions for selection.

However, how do we determine which modules or work areas require VBS Workspaces? The helper tool is designed to identify and analyze customizations, which is its primary purpose. Ideally, the Helper Tool should indicate whether any specific module or work area has customizations (Migratable/Non-Migratable). Now that the VBS Workspace is mandatory, we need to create VBS Workspaces for all modules and pages.

Howdy, Stranger!
