Capability to make a few of our existing normal users supplier users instead of creating new ones?

Summary:

Can we have the capability to make a few of our existing normal users supplier users instead of creating new ones? Is it possible to provide supplier privileges to the existing HCM users? We want to allow those users to upload items in a few item classes but do not want to give them full access or the ability to create items directly in PIM. That's why we are considering supplier portal setup for this.
