Changing Currency code to display in PDF template in Total compensation statement

Summary: As per client requirements to get TCS close to existing layout, I have configured categories using Descriptive text and calculated Items. While PDF statement is generated, the currency code is coming as USD for all Monetary fields. I have following 2 scenarios are handle with current configuration.

  1. Instead of USD, I need to display $ in front of all Monetary fields.
  2. There is one Calculated field that is to display percent. But as monetary fields are used for this calculated items, Currency code is displayed. Can this USD can be hidden while generating Printable PDF TCS?

If I can get solution to hidden the current code for second point, I can apply it for point 1 and hard code $.
