How to record worker's training history (in Person Talent Profile) without Learning module?

Summary:

Hello,
We don't have Learn but we still want to record workers' training history (completed courses/trainings).
I've tried to create a custom content type (= content section) in Profile Management (under Person profile), but there is no suitable template for training history. (NB: Creating one in Setup Manager is disabled completely.)

Any idea how to create a content type that would include appropriate labels (data fields) to capture training history details AND would be available for reporting in OTBI without interfering any existing content type reporting?
