High volume of transactions from external systems in FAH

Summary:

Our XLA_AE_LINES table has reached more than 1 billion rows in one and a half year after implementation and we expect to have volume growth this year. Is there a specific documentation you can point for best practice, benchmarks, limitations, etc. with respect to this type of growth in the financial accounting hub? We are seeing some performance issues in reporting for now, but I would be interested to know if we could start having issues in the accounting engine and user interfaces.
