What to do with high data volume in Accounting hub ?

I have a few questions concerning FAH accounting engine and ERP UI. Given that our XLA_AE_LINES table has reached almost 2 billion rows in one and a half year after implementation and we expect to have more volume in the future, how can we insure we will not have accounting engine performance issues in the near future as well as UI issues. What tools do we have at our disposal to optimise accounting hub performance? Is there a specific documentation you can point for best practice, benchmarks, limitations, etc. with respect to this type of growth in the accounting hub?
