how to delete unposted journal

How can I delete unposted journals from subledger? We don't have the subledger source freezed and "delete" appears in the journal Batch Actions list. But when attempting to delete, the following error pops up.

You can't delete a journal batch, journal, or journal lines for subledger journal sources.

I think the unposted journals created from subledgers could be deleted previously, as long as the source was not freezed. Did Oracle take away this function since a recent release?
