Barcode Scanners for Redwood Inventory Management

One of our clients desire to utilize their current barcode scanner while cycle counting, receiving, shipping and transferring materials.
They'll also be using the Inventory Management (New) UI.

Is that possible? If so, would we need to plan an integration in order to use their current barcode scanner?
