File Properties from Upstream System

We are attaching several types of docs to each activity that is created in OFSC from our upstream system OSVC.  We are able to send pdf and other docs and excel type files but they are not able to be opened up on mobile devices and viewed because of being corrupted when attempting to do so.  We can upload those same files from within OFSC and have no problem opening them up. Has anyone have any experience or success doing this by sending files from upstream system into OFSC?
