Can we have any number of data povs in EPCM, will it impact on the performance?

Earlier in PCMCS we were advised from oracle support not to exceed the data pov limits (around 1000 or something) which would hinder the performance of the system. Just wanted to check does that restriction apply to EPCM as well? or is it allowed to have any number of Data POVS?
