Can I add non-qualified custom Segment Label to existing COA Segment which is already in use?

Summary: We have requirement to create OTBI Report to fetch data for a particular COA Segment. The segment is not visible in Subject Areas. We have already tested it in non-prod instance and after adding custom segment label, COA segment is visible in Subject Areas, however, we want to understand if there will be any impact if we add custom segment label to existing COA segment.
