Can we do release pick wave for item with required quantity less than a lot quantity?

Our items are lot indivisible, after shipping a particular line, some quantity is remaining and getting backordered in sales order. For example I have a line with item A, where pending quantity is 200 Kgs. Now for this item each lot has 400 Kgs weight. Our release rule is Lot FIFO basis, when we do pick wave for this remaining quantity, It's not allocating any lots to that line. Is there any configuration using which we will be able to allocate 1 lot against this requested qty?
