Buy Online Pick In Store (BOPIS) at retail store, how to recognize COGS for bill-only sales orders

Customer orders through eCommerce portal of a company and merchandise is picked at a partner retailer store location.

NOTE: Merchandise is owned by the retailer. Merchandise is already sold to the retailer through B2B sales order fulfillment flow earlier with revenue and COGS recognized.

Consumer orders through an online eCommerce portal and selects a partner retailer store location to pick up the merchandise. Customer picks up the ordered merchandise from the retailer store location.

In the above use, inventory is owned by retailer sold through B2B sales order fulfillment. Revenue and COGS recognized already.

Therefore, in the BOPIS pickup at partner retailer store location flow, need to bill only sales order flow. In such case, how the COGS is recognized. Can COGS be earned upon order BOPIS order line close. There will NOT be any shipment (sales order issue). Revenue is recognized upon customer pick-up at the retailer store location through another 1P application.
