Clarity on Impact of Lead Time Lot Size on Supply Planning Lead Times

edited Jun 9, 2025 8:45AM in Supply Chain Planning and Collaboration 7 comments

Summary:

Hello, I would like to get some clarity on how Lead Time Lot Size impacts the lead times of Planned Orders in the Supply Plan for Discrete Manufacturing.

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

For example:

Via Calculate Lead Times and Roll Up Cumulative Lead Times scheduled process, the Processing Lead Time = Fixed Lead Time + (Variable Lead Time x Lead Time Lot Size)

Fixed LT = 0.667 days

Variable LT = 0.00032 days

Lead Time Lot Size = 1 (Default value)

Processing Lead Time = 0.667 + (0.00032 x 1)

Processing Lead Time = 0.66732 days

If there is a planned order of 13,000 units (due to Fixed Order Quantity of 13,000), assuming we have sufficient existing supply for the sub-assemblies and components in the BOM levels below.

Howdy, Stranger!
