Non-scheduled work orders in our field service getting travel time updates every night

Non-scheduled work orders/service requests in our field service getting travel time updates every night:
Oracle support answer was:
“The travel time update is due to the machine learning statistics which updates travel time based on historical data. Also, regarding the concern for setting exception for non-scheduled activity, this feature or function is not available on the current OFS version.”
In progress/suspended work orders are NOT getting travel updates which is strange considering they are assigned to field resources, and you would expect the machine learning statistics to start calculating for specific location of FR. Does anyone have a similar issue?
