BS closing Journal in previous year are not getting automatically reversed in Next year first period

Balance sheet closing Journal in previous year are not getting automatically reversed in Next year first period when its opened.

(Setup - automatic reversal set assigned to ledger and the category included in the reversal set to reverse in "Next Period)

E.g. in Adj-24 we ran the process of "Create Balance Sheet Closing Journals" and this process generated the Journals with "Balance close" Category in ADJ-24 and the same category is enabled for auto reversals in the next period which is JAN-25

but system not generated any auto reversals when we Open JAN-25 (first period of Next Year) so can you please confirm if the first period is not considered by Oracle to run automatic reversal process, If yes, do we need to run those manually every time (each year)
