Make "Use Current Cost" Field Read-Only in Redwood UI (Miscellaneous Transactions)

Summary:

We have a requirement where the "Use Current Cost" field on the Miscellaneous Transactions page should be:

  • Defaulted to "Yes" – this is achievable via the Manage Inventory Organization Parameters setup.
  • Made read-only to users – previously implemented using sandbox personalisation in the classic UI.

With the move to the Redwood UI, the field is no longer editable through sandbox or Visual Builder, and no standard option appears to exist to make it read-only.

We’d like to ask:

  • Is there an alternative Oracle-supported method to make this field read-only in the Redwood UI?
  • If not, can this limitation be logged as an enhancement request for future releases?
