Require conversion rate entry Option in Common Options for Payables and Procurement

Hi Team,

I have observed the below configuration option under 'Manage Common Options for Payables and Procurement' > Require Conversion Rate Entry. Whether this is enabled it or not, for a foreign currency transaction the entry of conversion rate type/date is mandatory on the form which eventually forces the user to enter/ensure the exchange rate exist. So what is the impact of this setup?

The explanation provided for this option in the Oracle Docs is as below, but request more insights on the functionality.

"On enabling this option, you must provide a conversion rate while entering an invoice or a payment in a currency other than the ledger currency. If you maintain daily rates, the date and rate type you enter help in automatically deriving the conversion rate. If daily rates don't exist for that date and rate type, you can't enter or save the transaction. If the conversion rate type is
