Restrict PR to PO Process if Valid BPA Does Not Exist

in Self Service Procurement

Our business requirement is to restrict the PR to PO conversion process unless a valid Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) exists for the item, supplier, and site.
Current Behavior: The system currently allows PRs to be converted into standard POs even if no valid BPA is in place. This could lead to unauthorized procurement outside of approved pricing agreements.
Business Requirement:

  • Prevent PR-to-PO conversion unless a valid BPA exists for the combination of item, supplier, and supplier site.
  • Ideally, the system should check: 1. BPA status (Approved) 2. Validity dates

Questions:

  1. Is there standard functionality in Oracle Cloud to restrict or prevent PR-to-PO conversion
