Internet Explorer 8 for Reporting

Hi folks,

 

The purpose of this thread is to share issues and workarounds encountered while using Internet Explorer 8 for reporting.

 

As you may know, Business Objects does not officially support Internet Explorer 8 on the version we are in production with today.

 

This was covered in a previous communication that you may have received from your client executive stating the following:

 

 

Reporting and Analytics will not be officially supported on IE8 for Users and Reporting Authors. This is because Business Objects XIR2 does not support IE 8. Authors should preferably continue to use IE7 or IE6 on windows platforms. Users may be able to successfully use IE8 and access reports but can run into some issues. Taleo will publish workarounds to known issues from time to time on the Knowledge Exchange.
