This document is intended to provide understanding on the use of the parameter "installonly_limit" in /etc/yum.conf and /etc/dnf/dnf.conf files.

Solution

installonly_limit is an integer value which represents the maximum number of versions that can be installed simultaneously for any single package listed in the installonlypkgs directive, as in it represents number of packages allowed to be installed concurrently on the system.
