Is it possible to have a dynamic calculation on a cross-referenced column?

I am configuring our workforce compensation plan ahead of our annual review cycle. New for this year, we want to pull in some data points from a separate compensation plan instead of uploading via the worksheet. I know how to cross-reference columns between plans - that is working fine - however, I need to set some criteria on those columns to only pull data for a specific population - ie, where country != IN, column should be blank. When I cross-reference the column, I notice the dynamic calculation icon gets greyed out. Can I not add
