Redwood Check-ins – Inconsistent Behavior When Editing Goal Tasks from Suggested Topics

Summary:

We’ve noticed a difference in behavior on the Redwood UI for Check-ins, specifically when Development Goals and Performance Goals are added as Suggested Topics.

Seen behaviour:

  • For Development Goals, users are able to edit Goal Tasks directly from the goal drawer without clicking “Edit” on the goal itself.
  • For Performance Goals, the Edit icon is greyed out, and users must click “Edit” on the goal before they can add or modify Goal Tasks.

This inconsistency in user experience can be confusing, especially when users expect similar behavior across both goal types.

Questions:

  1. Is this intentional behavior or a UI inconsistency?

Howdy, Stranger!
