Support Needed, Journey Initiation Email Notifications do not trigger as expected?

Summary:
Looking for some support or advise to enable the journey initiation template to trigger, although aligned (screenshot below) the notification doesn't generate as expected to allow the first task to be completed? Intention is for both the People Leader & Employee to receive a notification that the journey has been initiated. I have also amended the notification emails attached to performer and owner to no avail either unfortunately.
