Automatically populate Procurement Requester name in the Suggested Buyer Field

Summary:

We have a requirement wherein, the requesters who are creating the requisitions are Buyers as well. Hence the customer wants the Suggested Buyer field to automatically get populated with the Requester Name, so that the Requester does not have to manually put his name again in the Suggested Buyer Field while creating a requisition.

We did try to achieve this using VB customization on the Suggested Buyer Field but the field still shows as empty when we create a Requisition.

Has anyone come across a similar requirement in the past? or is there a way to achieve this requirement. Please suggest.
