Buyer planning - what logic is used to propose the date of a consolidated order?

Hi,

in Buyer planning, if we consolidate two order with two different dates, what logic does the system use to propose the consolidated order date? Does it always propose the closest date? Is it possible to modify this logic according to certain settings?
