Adaptive search - how to set sort order of DCL field in search filter

Summary:

We have a DCL field used as search filter for Adaptive search. When typing in a value to search in the search bar, it displays a list of records that corresponds to the value that is typed in. Currently it displays only up to 10 records, and is sorted ascending by default. Is there a way to expand the display to more than 10 records, and display the result (in the search bar) in descending order?

In this case, the Business needs the records with latest year so expecting to see the 2026 year first, but since it sorted ascending, and displays only 10, the 2026 records is not displayed, and additional typing is needed to get to the record that they want.
