I attempted to hide the Actual Score and Effort from the manager's view when accessing their direct report through the VBS.

After deploying the VBS, these two fields are successfully hidden.
However, when a manager goes to My Team > Learning and Development > Learning Assignment, clicks on the Learner's name, and views the transcript, they can still see both the Score and Effort. See the screenshot below:
