Thoughts on using a different currency for Elements linked to a Salary Rate

We are implementing Rate Based Salary for Belgium. We have a population of hourly workers who state their hourly rates as salary rates with 4 decimal places. We have three hourly Rates that are based on Elements. The Rate is recorded on the salary page with 4 decimals, but it is saved on the element entry with only 2 decimals because the Euro currency is configured with 2 decimal precision. When a user edits the salary, the amount from the elements (with only 2 decimals) is populated on the salary screen thereby making the hourly rate value incorrect.
