What is the alternative to apps_initialize in oracle fusion

in General Ledger & Intercompany

Hi,

We have a custom requirement to create a journal using the REST service but the created_by should be a different specific user other than the service_user which is used in authentication. Is there a way to achieve this. This was achieved in EBS using FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE function.
