Projected balance results in an incorrect balance calculation

I am seeking guidance regarding a requirement where employees submit their time in hours via the Time Card, while absences should be consumed in days. To meet this requirement, I have configured the absence plan with the unit of measure (UOM) as "Days" and created absence types with the UOM as "Hours."

When an employee requests absence by selecting the appropriate time type, the system calculates the absence in days without using a conversion formula. For example, if an employee’s work schedule is 8 hours per day and they submit annual leave in the Time Card, the 8 hours are correctly converted to 1 day in plan participation.
