Immediate Action Needed: Enable the Enhanced US Payroll Tax Engine in Production by April 2026

With Update 25C, Oracle released the Enhanced US Oracle Payroll Tax Engine (USOPTE). All US Payroll customers must complete the transition in Production by April 2026 to remain on the standard update path and receive Update 26B without disruption. Starting with Update 26B (delivered starting May 2026), monthly tax and geography updates for US payroll customers will ONLY be delivered via USOPTE and US Payroll customers will be automatically switched to USOPTE without an option to return to the previous payroll tax engine.

Who is affected?

All US Payroll customers are affected.

Why are we making this change?

To meet our improving operational and zero-downtime targets, you must transition to using the Enhanced US Payroll Tax Engine
