Immediate Action Needed: Enable the Enhanced US Payroll Tax Engine in Production by April 2026

With Update 25C, Oracle released the Enhanced US Oracle Payroll Tax Engine (USOPTE). All US Payroll customers must complete the transition in Production by Update 26A timelines (April 2026) to remain on the standard update path and receive 26B starting May 2026 without disruption. Starting with Update 26B (May 2026), monthly tax and geography updates for US payroll customers will be delivered ONLY via USOPTE and Vertex monthly updates will no longer be provided.

Why are we making this change?

To meet our improving operational and zero-downtime targets, you must transition to using the Enhanced US Payroll Tax Engine by Update 26A. This change will support improvements to:
