Need the defaulting expressions to populate correctly in VBS

It's possible to specify that a field in VBS should default to the value entered into another field.   You can enter an expression to do it, or you can allow the application to create the expression for you.  In some cases (eg. legislative info flexfields)  the expression that the application enters is not correct.
