Steps followed
Section product, you need to review the instructions outlined in document 2412572.1:

  1. The Career Section setting Enable Customization of Job Submission Statuses must be enabled.
  2. The Career Section property Display user-defined job submission status in the My Submissions and My Referrals page must be enabled in the specific Career Section properties.
  3. Open Configuration > Career Section - Administration > Job submission Status
  4. Edit and Set to Custom.
  5. Save.
  6. Select a status (e.g. Rejected, for the step New.)
