Effective January 1, 2026, Temporary Disability Insurance benefits provide 85% of the covered employee’s average weekly wage, capped at $1,199/week (70% of the state average weekly wage) for a maximum duration of 26 weeks and both offer job protections.

We will have the USPTE on Jan 1, but we don't see any information about this change in the December Statutory Legislative update that's recent, so need to get more information on expectations to plan accordingly and test impact.
