Capture Resumes - Taleo Best Practices
Content
We recently implemented an e-signatures for applicants into our candidate flow on the career center site and a concern has surfaced that if recruiters continued to capture resume’s for people who haven’t necessarily chosen to apply (either through SourcePoint or other external sourcing methods) that we might be introducing risk that a recruiter would be signing off on an e-signature for someone who never had an interest in applying, thus never truly was an applicant. This could certainly have some legal implications.
We currently allow recruiters to parse the resumes to create a profiles for someone. It has also been confirmed that when resumes are captured in this manner that it does not require the recruiter to e-sign anything as an applicant. There still remains an impact to our sourcing strategy because oftentimes candidates at an executive or director level is sourced have to be manually added to Taleo and manually tied to a requisition by Recruiting.
