MailTo functionality in Journey is not working in Redwood

Summary: We have used Custom Journey Code to display Need Help URLs like USBenefits@clientname .com .

When we check the Source Code it is having

<p> <a href="mailto:USBenefits@clientname .com"><span style="color:#2D1CF1;"><u>USBenefits@clientname .com</u></span></a> </p>

but when we click on the Email Address, i expect the system to copy the URL into outlook or the email To Section with the id populated. it is not working. Do i need to validate any specific configuration.
