Redwood HR Help Desk Migration - can we keep the SRs in the classic UI

We are planning to move to Redwood HR Help Desk next year. Currently we are working on POCs, requirements gathering and implementation plan.
We had a question regarding migrating the existing SRs to the new redwood platform. If we do not migrate any SRs to Redwood then will they remain in the classic UI? We were planning on keep the current UI available to our Help Desk Manager to look up historical data for a year or two.

We are currently on 25D in the lower pods and 25C in production
