How to get variable names used in Business Rules for Pipeline?

We are implementing pipelines in TRCS and business rules will be part of the process. To run business rules such as consolidation we will need to pass parameters such as year, entity, period and scenario. Without being able to view the rule details how can we know the variable name to pass to? Thank you!
