Unable to Hide DFF Marked as Required

Summary:

I am attempting to hide a DFF field on the View Add Absence page. By default, the field is marked as Required and Visible.

Although I have created a Business Rule to hide it, the field still remains visible and shows as required on the page.

Is this because the Required property takes precedence over the Hidden action, preventing the field from being hidden?
