Request to Hide/Disable Password Fields on Resource Screen in OFS Environment
Summary:
We are using Oracle Field Service (OFS) with SSO enabled.(Single Sign On)
When we add or edit a Resource (technician/dispatcher), OFS displays the fields
- Password
- Confirm Password
These fields appear in:
- Configuration → Resource Types → Resources → Add Resource
- Configuration → Resource Types → Resources → Edit Resource
Even though the environment uses SSO and users log in through the Identity Provider, OFS still asks for these password fields.
Customer concerns:
- Why are these fields required when login is through SSO?
- Is this password the admin’s password, or the new technician’s login password?
- Do we need to set this password? If yes, what rules or values should we use?Can this be a generic pwd?
