Oracle Linux: How to Configure RDP Server in Oracle Linux 10

GOAL

From Oracle Linux 10 (OL10) onwards, there is no VNC server available. It is replaced by RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) which works on port 3389. This document explains steps to configure RDP service in OL10, so that GNOME Linux desktop GUI interface can be accessed remotely.

NOTE: Unlike VNC server, to access RDP session, the server must be booted into graphical.target and should be kept running in this mode.

SOLUTION

Follow the below steps. There are 2 ways to do this. 

Method 1:
