Why after many years is end date same as start date in non-recurring elements?

Summary:

We are entering a non-recurring element on new employee and end date is same as start date. Thisis only happening for a start date of 12/20/25 and the end date SHOULD be 01/02/26. First time this happened and works for earlier payroll periods in our environments.
