How to Default Position Codes in Position Name field in Request a new Position Page?

We have a requirement to default the auto generate position codes in Position Name field, so that they are in sync at the time of creating a new position.

This is for request a new position page, I tried adding a validation rule in vbs to make the position name same as position code, but in the rule condition the fields are not getting compared and the validation rule doesnt work.
