Not able to configure mapping set based approval rules for Deliver to Location for Requisitions

Summary:

Our Business case is that , If a requisition is submitted with one of ~100 specific Deliver-to Locations, it should be auto-rejected during Preapproval. Otherwise, it should proceed through the normal approval hierarchy, i tried to configure it through creating mapping set but it didn't work out.

Any clarification or document/steps on how to configure would be greatly appreciated.

I followed the steps in this document:

However, i found the document is unclear, especially around:

  • Use of PO Header Attributes (1–4) in the Mapping Data Set
  • What these attributes represent at runtime
  • Why they’re used when the requirement is Deliver-to Location–based
